StudyPortals, the international study choice platform and Web2Present, the specialist in student recruitment webinars, are joining forces to increase interactivity and add a personal touch to modern student recruitment.

StudyPortals is now a part owner of Web2Present, an innovative webinar service provider focused on helping universities and business schools increase student applications, convert applicants into actual enrollments, find new agents, and stay in touch with their network of alumni through interactive webinars. The webinar solution will be made available to universities and students within the StudyPortals community, which in 2014 consisted of over 1,800 Universities and 9 million unique users.

“Internet connectivity and speed is rapidly increasing and this is impacting how educational institutions are promoting their study programs. Just as print advertisement, in time, has taken a back seat to online advertisement, more and more Universities are now opting for webinars as they allow for a time saving, live interaction with their potential students. Webinars allow universities to dramatically increase their reach because the audience can join from anywhere in the world – they can interact directly with potential students that they might otherwise never meet at a physical fair. By having a powerful ally like StudyPortals, and access to their tremendous marketing channels, we are now able to deliver even better results to our clients. At the same time, StudyPortals is now able to utilize the vast webinar production experience of Web2Present and expand their own services portfolio” explain Web2Present founders Luuk Mulling and Rasmus Weissfeld.

Edwin van Rest, CEO: “It took StudyPortals about 6 years to collect all the information that students need to discover and choose their dream study. However, that information is factual, impersonal and only based on one-way communication. Although our innovation has helped students consider far more study options, and has also helped universities increase their recruitment reach and effectivity, it has make the whole process less personal than traditional methods such as study fairs, open days or even F2F counselling. Together with a group of leading universities and industry associations, we have been looking for a way to bring back that ‘personal touch’ since 2012. Webinars have proven to be the most successful solution. We also found that running an excellent webinar requires the right technology and specific expertise and processes. We have therefore chosen to partner with Web2Present as they are truly leading this field in the Higher Education market.”
