StudyPortals and AACSB International partner to improve student choice, awareness of business education and accreditation worldwide
Eindhoven, December 19, 2017 —StudyPortals, the global education search platform, and AACSB International (AACSB), the world’s largest business education network, announce a new collaborative effort to promote awareness among students about the value of pursuing a business degree from AACSB-accredited institutions around the globe.
Together, the two organisations will work to help students who wish to enrol in an undergraduate, masters, or doctoral business programme make informed choices, based on international standards that are established and upheld by nearly 800 institutions globally—each of which are seamlessly crossing borders and connecting with business practice throughout multiple industries.
AACSB Accreditation provides a framework of 15 international standards against which business schools around the globe assess the quality of their educational services. These standards ensure continuous improvement, and focus on what schools need to do to deliver on their mission, innovate, and drive impact. The AACSB Accreditation seal also identifies to internal and external stakeholders that the institution is of true quality and has demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning.
For students pursuing a degree from an AACSB-accredited institution, it means that they are earning an education of the highest calibre, receiving knowledge of distinguished quality—ultimately translating into better skills and career options. In fact, 96% of the chief executives in the Financial Times “From MBA to CEO” interactive report attended an AACSB-accredited school.
As a member of AACSB’s Business Education Alliance, and a leading international education resource, StudyPortals and AACSB share the belief that access to information plays a crucial role in the decision-making process of all students. By communicating the benefits of attending an AACSB-accredited business programs, the collaborators hope to help students find the business school, and degree programme, that fits their needs best.
Edwin van de Rest, CEO of StudyPortals comments: “We are extremely happy to be combining efforts with AACSB. Our research shows that clarity around accreditation is an issue for our student users. We believe together with AACSB we come a step closer to our mission to make study choice transparent.”
Tim Mescon, Executive Vice President and Chief Officer of AACSB’s Europe, Middle East and Africa headquarters noted: “Making an informed decision on where to pursue a business degree—at any level—is a choice that prospective students should complete with much research and thought. As the largest global connector of students, academia, and business, it only makes sense for AACSB and StudyPortals to work alongside each other, providing valuable resources and knowledge on business programs and accreditation worldwide.
Collectively, through the StudyPortals study search platforms and AACSB’s BestBusinessSchools.com website, students can search for and find comprehensive information about admission requirements, tuition, fees, elements involving international education and studying abroad (student visas, work permits), and the accreditation status of the world’s most notable, relevant, and challenging global business school programmes.
