Responsibilities

My key priorities are recruitment, optimizing employee wellbeing/satisfaction, talent development, streamlining all HR processes, policies, internal rules and regulations, personal development plans, global internal communication and many, many more.

Background

My own development path has not been standard. I have a master degree in Dutch Criminal Law and before I started to work in the field of HR I was a product developer/conference manager. The past 17 years I’ve been working in HR with great enthusiasm, had I known that this is the most exciting field to work in, I would have chosen a different academic study when I was much, much younger!

Key challenges

My key challenge is double: recruit the best staff possible (and retain them!) and professionalizing all sorts of HR processes without hindering the entrepreneurial start up culture that is so unique for Studyportals.

Personal

I love skiing, reading, Spain and the Spanish language (and wine and tapas 🙂 ). I am 9 times a very proud uncle and two times an even prouder Great-uncle.
