“Stay Hungry, Stay foolish” – Steve Jobs

As a product owner I’m responsible for maximising the value of the product created by the scrum development team. In order to make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with the user needs and business objectives, I have to align with all the stakeholders including users researchers, business strategists, UX designers, market analysts, customer support managers and many more.
Building the road map, setting up priorities on the backlog and supporting the scrum team in all stages in the development of the product is all part of the Product owner responsibilities.
I’m coming from Macedonia where I worked for 10 years in T-Mobile Macedonia and since I graduated with engineering degree in Computer science I started my career as a software developer then continued as a project manager and ended up as a product owner of two analytical systems.
When my husband and I decided to move to Netherlands, 2 years ago, I continued working as a remote Product manager for Upwork (freelancing platform), which is a company based in USA that works with distributed teams.
And now here I’m in Study Portals, feeling proud to be part of the team building global study choice platform, empowering the world to choose education.
Being a product owner of the search team, my key challenge is to build the best search experience that is providing highly relevant results to our users when they are exploring their next high education choices!
