Lenka Praxova

Lenka is multidisciplinary and visually driven person. In her opinion design should be practical, usable, and visually pleasing. She likes to solve design problems and create clever solutions that are innovative, creative and fresh.

She is a designer who likes to work with complexity that she then turns into simple solutions with big opportunities, in other words she enjoys seeing a bigger picture while paying attention to a detail.

In her vision she describes how important “life long learning” is. The personal learning that goes beyond checkboxes of preset curriculum and does not finish by receiving diploma.

She thinks it is important to explore and study in different countries. Therefore she decided to study not only in her own country (Czech Republic), but also in The Netherlands and shortly in England.

She holds two bachelor degrees, one from Design Academy Eindhoven and the other one from Industrial design (Eindhoven University of Technology). At Design Academy she learnt about form and shape as well as visual communication. On the other hand Industrial design brother her closer to the field of research, user testing, and she got introduced to the world of business innovation.

At the moment she is in her final year of Industrial design TU/e. Therefore she is working on her master thesis, which brought her to a great opportunity to work for StudyPortals.

 

Key challenge

Within her master thesis she is going to work on improving the student’s journey from search to enrolment to their best-fitted university. She is interested in adding a social aspect to the platform by creating innovative service. Within this project she will explore student’s motivation and needs, and turn the findings into an interactive online platform.

 

Personal goal

The motto that she likes to follow is “work hard play hard!” And when she does not do just that, she enjoys rock climbing, traveling, cooking, reading, drawing, and basically any creative and challenging task that leads to self-education in one way or the other.
