The final days of the year allow for retrospect and thinking back of all great achievements of 2016. This might give a feeling of pride, as well as motivation to do even better for 2017! To give you a head start on a great new year, we have composed a list of the must-go-to events in 2017 to not miss out on any amazing educational conference!

January:

GMAC Leadership conference (San Francisco, United States – 17-20 January)

During these four days, professionals from all over the world gather to discuss the most important aspects of the global management education community. In an intimate setting, you can explore new ideas on leadership, work on your strategy, solve current challenges through intensive networking and learn from the current leaders in education and management. This event is mainly for academic and administrative program deans, directors of GMAT accepting programs, and members from the MBA roundtable.

February:

AIEA Annual Conference (Washington, DC, United States – 19-22 February)

With the theme being ‘Internationalization through Differences: transcending boundaries’ this conference focuses on the interplay between boundaries and connections in internationalization. For international leaders, it is important to consider the boundaries within which they have to function. These functions are determined by cultural differences, different structures and motivations and distinct resource allocations. If you’re excited to participate in provocative, relevant and rewarding sessions, don’t hesitate to sign up for the AIEA conference!

March:

EFMD Entrepreneurship Education Conference (Sheffield, United Kingdom – 08-10 March)

This conference on ‘Entrepreneurship inside Organizations’ offers 3 days of interesting sessions on entrepreneurship, its challenges and opportunities and educational design, led by interesting speakers. Interesting for professionals involved in entrepreneurship education and management education.

APAIE Conference & Exhibition (Kaohsiung, Taiwan – 20-23 March)

With the conference being located in Taiwan, the focus will be on higher education in Asia Pacific. The theme: ‘New Era, New Horizon, New Frontier Higher Education in Asia Pacific’. The APAIE Annual Conference and Exhibition is one of the most well-known forums in the Asia-Pacific region for bringing together policy-makers and education experts from around the world to improve professional skills and learn about new developments in international education.

UPCEA Annual Conference (Chicago, United States – 22-24 March)

This is the most significant assembly of thought leaders and practitioners in the educational field. During this 3-day event, there will be plenty of opportunities to network, join high-energy sessions and listen to engaging keynote speakers! Accompanied by interesting speakers, all the deans, university leaders and those involved the growth of education programmes are invited to attend targeted sessions focusing on the top areas of practices in the educational field.

April:

NAGAP 30th Annual Conference (Salt Lake City, United States – 19-22 April)

As NAGAP is the leader in graduate enrolment management, the conference will provide new approaches and creative strategies across a variety of topics related to the field. Topics that will be discussed during numerous educational sessions with dynamic speakers are admissions policies and processes, career and staff development, graduate student support and financial aid, legal and ethical issue, marketing and recruitment and others.

The English UK Annual Conference & AGM (Bristol, United Kingdom – 9-10 May)

This is one of the highlights of the English UK calendar, providing updates on strategy, statistics and wider trends, as well as workshops focusing on specific issues. Be sure to join this event when interested in English UK and help to shape the future of language courses.

Going Global (London, United Kingdom – 22-24 May)

‘Global cities: connecting talent, driving change’. This is the theme of this years’ conference hosted by the British Council, which explores how universities and colleges support city-regional economies and social and civic engagement. By addressing global challenges, the Going Global conference connects the world’s cities to global knowledge and talent.

NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo (Los Angeles, United States – 28 May – 02 June)

The NAFSA Annual Conference is the perfect place to network with many other international education professionals from all around the world. With this year’s theme: ‘Expanding Community, Strengthening Connections’ be prepared to network, engage in lively discussions and debate on the hottest topics in the field during one of the many interesting sessions and workshops!

June:

The EUPRIO Conference 2017 (Mannheim, Germany – 29 June)

‘Networking for a better future: Universities, Cities, Territories and Enterprises’. With this theme, the conference in Mannheim is built around the concept of universities being the key connectors in wider networks, such as local, regional, national and international. Based on this approach, 4 main themes are established to be discussed: universities, cities and territory, universities and industry, international networks.

September:

EAIE 2017: Europe’s largest Higher Education Conference (Seville, Spain – 12-15 September)

The beautiful scenery of Seville will be the background for the 29th annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition, providing a fitting metaphor to this year’s theme: ‘A mosaic of Cultures’. International higher education is the ‘craft’ of bringing different perspectives together. The conference gives you plenty of opportunities to meet many other colleagues, attend interesting and interactive workshops and sessions on relevant topics. Attending the EAIE conference in Seville will provide you with new insights on the richness of diversity, the funding of internationalization and many other interesting topics.
