StudyPortals wins FD Gazellen Award for best International growth and scores high in the Deloitte Fast 50/500

The international study choice platform StudyPortals.com was honoured as company with the best international growth achievement in the Netherlands.

The Award ceremony – hosted by the Financieele Dagblad (FD), the most popular Dutch newspaper for economy and finance – took place 1st December 2014 in the Royal theatre in The Hague

In this category an independent jury is looking for companies with the best globalization strategy. StudyPortals convinced not only with their international team and strategic planning, but also as they already help universities from 46 countries to reach out to a global audience and has student users from over 200 countries.

StudyPortals started out of a Student organization in 2007 and has nowadays over 60 employees from 24 different nationalities working mainly in the Eindhoven headquarter, but also for example in Boston, Melbourne or Bucharest. The platforms attract over 3.5 million monthly visits from searching students worldwide, and is working together with over 1,600 Universities and schools including almost all top ranked institutes.

CEO Edwin van Rest says about the prize: “It’s a great recognition for our team and the dedication the put into this every day. We are very grateful for what we have accomplished in a relatively short time – also thanks to our great partners. But we are also motivated to proceed on our dream to make study choice transparent globally as there’s still a lot of work needs to be done.”

Apart from the FD Gazellen award there was more appreciation for the international company:

During the award ceremony of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Benelux, a prize for the fastest growing technology companies in the Netherlands, StudyPortals ended up on place 7. With this result the study choice platform has also qualified for the international pendant, the Deloitte Fast 500 EMEA. The EMEA version evaluates the 500 fastest tech growing companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa. StudyPortals ended up on place 54 in this important ranking.
