Studyportals associates join the Netherlands economic mission to Portugal

Eindhoven, NL – October, 11, 2017 – Studyportals, the global education search platform, today announced that two associates joined the Netherlands Economic Mission to Portugal, which took place between 10 and 12 October 2017.

With the leadership of and state visit from Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, a group of 35 companies and institutions joined the mission, exploring avenues for collaboration and cooperation between Dutch and Portuguese industries. As the two countries have a long, storied history of trade and economic support, Studyportals and other innovative companies are perfectly suited for this important event, continuing strengthening the economic relationship from now into the future.

On the second day of the mission, 11 October, Studyportals associates, Vincent Verspaandonk and Fernando Santos, joined the lunch with the Royal Family, along with the Rector of ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, Luís Reto, and the Marketing Director of ISCTE Business School, Tiago Barbosa. During the dinner, Studyportals and ISCTE signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of the Royal Family that will take shape in the weeks following.

Edwin van Rest, Studyportals CEO had shared his thoughts about and confidence in the partnership with ISCTE:

‘’The partnership will be a multiyear agreement with ISCTE – IUL, one of the highest ranked institutions in Portugal. The objective of this enrolment-based cooperation is to innovate and test a further result-based, risk-free, transparent recruitment method with ISCTE – IUL’’.

Through this partnership, Studyportals can secure a lasting relationship with the ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, helping them grow their international student enrolments. The joint agreements entail the promotion of all English-taught programmes of ISCTE Business School.

Furthermore, Studyportals will continue to cooperate with Portuguese industry partners, carrying on the important, valuable connection that has long existed between the Netherlands and Portugal.
