Conferences are always great opportunities to learn the latest developments in the field, get to know new people and make your voice heard. As StudyPortals, we are looking forward to EAIE Glasgow so that we can catch up with our clients, build new relationships, share and develop new ideas besides conference sessions, workshops and networking events. In addition, we think that conferences are great opportunities to discover the city the conference takes place. They give us the opportunity to try new food, do a bit of sightseeing, discover the nightlife, do shopping and experience another culture.

To be able to give you a bit of Glasgow culture, we are preparing a “Treasure” Map of Glasgow. Our local experts who has lived in Glasgow help us find the best places and activities in the city. You can read about one of our local experts here.

Glasgow is known to be a very green city, which gives a wonderful feeling of relaxation and peace. That is why we want to share some places to relax in this post.

Places to Relax

Glasgow Green: This city park is within easy walking distance of the city centre. People’s Palace is worth a special visit.

Hogganfield Park: Here is a large shallow loch with a wooded island. It may be an excellent place for birdwatching or just taking a walk.

Pollok Country Park: This place is within very easy access by public transportation. You can have a peaceful walk alongside the river and get amazed by the spectacular gardens.

George Square: George Square is the principal civic square in the city of Glasgow.

Kelvingrove Park: Kelvingrove Park is a public park located on the River Kelvin in the West End of the city of Glasgow.

Mitchell Library: One of Glasgow’s most iconic landmarks, the Mitchell Library is a beautiful building that is also one of Europe’s largest public libraries. An ideal spot to gather your thoughts.

Centre for Contemporary Arts: The CCA plays a pivotal role in Glasgow’s cultural life. A hub for creative activity, this experimental space curates major art exhibitions, film, music and literature under one roof alongside a fabulous cafe bar and cute design shop. Well worth a visit.

More information about the “treasure” map and special events at the conference will follow here soon.
