What a city! There are so many things to say about Liverpool it is hard to put every single detail in one blog post. Today, the city of Liverpool is associated for producing well-known music legends including the Beatles, Frankie goes Hollywood and many more. In September 2016, the 28th EAIE annual conference will take place in the historic maritime city, famously known as the hometown of Beatles. All places suggested are in a walking distance of maximum 7 minutes from  ACC Liverpool!

The Albert Dock

The Albert Dock is the heart of Liverpool’s historic waterfront. With rich heritage alongside with magnificent architecture, Inside the Albert Dock you will find a range of museums such as the Merseyside Maritime Museum, Tate and the Beatles Story. Also, a huge range of venues to eat, drink, dance all day and night!

The Beatles Story Museum

The Beatles Story tells the story of one of the greatest bands in the world. The Beatles story though is not only well known for unraveling the journey of the Fab four but is also the home of John Lennon’s Last Piano. There is also time to relax in the Beatles-themed coffeehouse: The Fab4cafe or you can visit the award-winning Fab4store that carries various Beatles gifts and memorabilia.  Tickets are available for 14,95£ and can be booked online or purchased on site! Opening hours: Daily from 9am-6pm.

Merseyside Maritime Museum

Explore the nautical heritage of Liverpool and the role in the American civil war and the Battle of the Atlantic. There is a range of selection of model boats, war medals and a permanent exhibition centered off the tragic sinking of the Titanic in the 1912 and the battleship of the Lusitania during the World War II. While at the museum don’t forget to visit the top floor and dine in the Maritime dining room located in the top floor to enjoy breathtaking views across the waterfront. The entry to museum is free! Opening hours: Daily from 10am till 5pm.

Tate Liverpool

If you are a modern fan art then the Tate Liverpool is the must place to see. It is one of the popular gallery of modern and contemporary art center. It has four major sites and the national collection that includes nearly 70,000 artworks. If you would like to take a break then drink and dine in the vibrant cafe surrounded by designs of British Pop artist Sir Peter Blake. Tate is also home to an Art shop that you can purchase art-inspired souvenirs and books. Admission to Tate is free, except for special exhibitions. Opening hours: Daily from 10am till 17:50pm.

Museum of Liverpool

The museum of Liverpool is devoted to the history of Liverpool is the largest built national museum in Britain for more than a century. The Exhibits showcase the popular culture, historical and contemporary issues in an engaging manner. There is also a café located on the ground serves traditional British food where you can relax and enjoy the views of the canal and Albert Dock. The entry to museum is free! Opening hours: Daily from 10am till 5pm.
